Da Nang, the ideal film studio

In recent years, a series of famous works have brought the image of Da Nang to the big and small screens, making audiences around the world admire such as: Love you regardless (2018), The Protégé (2021), Taxi Driver 2 (2023), A Tourist's Guide to Love (2023)...

From the initial successes, filmmakers gradually realized that Da Nang is an ideal "treasure trove of settings", where each location can create unique and emotional frames.

At the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III), the film Love in Vietnam, a co-production between Vietnam and India, was premiered.

With a total production budget of up to 4 million USD, the film was promoted by the Consulates of both countries.

Surprisingly, for 75% of the film's duration, Vietnam's setting appeared on screen; among them, Taya House, a restaurant with the appearance of a Northwest region, located in Furama Resort Da Nang, was chosen as the filming location, leaving a very deep impression on the audience.

After Love in Vietnam, in early July, the movie "Let's Go Home" started filming at Four Seasons Resort the Nam Hai (Dien Ban Dong ward).

The film was also filmed in many famous locations in Da Nang: Nam O fishing village, Ghenh Bang beach, Hoa Bac countryside, Hoi An ancient town...

Director Tran Dinh Hien (a native of Da Nang, currently living in Ho Chi Minh City) said, choosing Da Nang to film this film, it is not only because of my love for my hometown but above all, Da Nang is very beautiful like a "big film set", with all the elements of rivers, beaches, high-class resorts, craft villages, old towns that still preserve the old traces, cultural soul...

Opportunity to promote Da Nang tourism

Mr. Michael Casey, Resort Director of Four Seasons Resort the Nam Hai shared: “Through Let's Go Home, we not only spread the beauty of the resort but also the spirit of Central Vietnam, a land rich in heritage, full of emotions and connections.

In terms of communication, the film is an authentic and unique platform to introduce the locality from a fresh cinematic perspective, inviting audiences to rediscover Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Vice President of Da Nang Tourism Association, said that choosing filming locations with strong cultural identity such as Taya House or the beautiful landscape of Furama Resort Da Nang not only helps convey genuine emotions to the audience, but also contributes to affirming Vietnam's strengths in combining tourism and cinema.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said that promoting and building the Da Nang destination brand at an international level is very important at this stage.

Therefore, the Center will advise the Department to implement policies on promoting the image of Da Nang through famous people, providing maximum support for films made in Da Nang; contributing to bringing the image of Da Nang to domestic and foreign tourists most effectively.
