Tay Ninh Youth Union: Joining hands for an environment without plastic waste

Tay Ninh youth in general and Tan Ninh ward youth union members in particular are promoting the spirit of shock and pioneering with practical actions, contributing to protecting the living environment.

One of the outstanding activities that attracted the attention and participation of local people took place at Nguyen Du Primary School, Hiep Le Quarter on the morning of July 20, the program "Joining hands for a green Tan Ninh", with the model "Exchanging plastic waste for green gifts".

From early morning, the ward’s youth union members were present in front of the school gate to prepare an area to display stories, books, environmentally friendly bags, cakes and teddy bears. They were all very happy and excited to participate in a meaningful collective activity and contribute their youth to the locality.

The environmentally friendly bags were delivered directly to people going to the market, with the hope that people would use these bags to store food instead of hard-to-decompose plastic bags.

In addition, children, parents, aunts and sisters also brought bags and plastic bottles to exchange for teddy bears, notebooks, pens, cakes or children's books and stories.

In parallel with the activity "Joining hands for a green Tan Ninh" of the Tan Ninh Ward Youth Union, on the same day, the Binh Minh Ward Youth Union, the Binh Minh Ward Military Command and the Tay Ninh Provincial Pedagogical College Youth Union also coordinated to launch the 4th "Green Sunday" in 2025 with many practical activities, contributing to spreading green lifestyle, protecting the environment and building a civilized urban lifestyle.

Thereby, the organization donated 6 garbage sorting bins at: Binh Minh Ward Party Committee Headquarters; Binh Minh Market; Nguyen Van Linh Secondary School; distributed 300 green bags to protect the environment; organized the activity "Exchange garbage for gifts" to collect more than 600 plastic bottles; and 300 old batteries./.
