On the morning of November 21, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises in collaboration with the University of Natural Sciences – Ho Chi Minh City National University organized the Uni Tour Green Building – Green Consumption program with the theme “Applied Science for Green Products in Vietnam”. The program opened a forum for scientists and businesses to directly discuss practical needs, thereby promoting research out of the laboratory.

From a business perspective, Ms. Tu Le Thanh Vy - Deputy General Director of Intermix said that the market is increasingly demanding on the safety and environmental friendliness of products. To keep up with the green consumption trend, the company is constantly searching for and applying new ingredients based on green science.
“In addition to Eco-standard additives, many natural ingredients that do not carry the Eco label but are still safe and create good quality and flavor are being researched by Intermix to be included in the premixed powder line. If universities have good research results, clean raw materials can be linked with businesses to apply in production, aiming for sustainable values,” Ms. Vy said.
From another perspective, Dr. Huynh Ky Tran - Director of Lan Hao Company focuses on ethics as the foundation of sustainable development. "True ethics is the root for the industry to develop healthily. Many good products are not promoted because the truth is sometimes inferior to false advertising," Mr. Tran worries.

Representing the school, MSc. Van Chi Nam - Vice Principal of the University of Natural Sciences affirmed that the green transformation process requires strong innovation in training and research.
According to Mr. Nam, the school is preparing resources in terms of facilities and staff to receive practical problems from businesses, especially scientific tasks related to green standards in production.
From the perspective of the Association of High Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, Ms. Vu Kim Hanh believes that the connection between three parties, namely schools, the state and businesses, needs to be closely linked together. In particular, the connection between schools and businesses in research and development (R&D) activities plays a central role.
“R&D activities are the activities that sustain Vietnamese goods in general and high-quality Vietnamese goods in particular. Research results have the opportunity to enter production, at the same time helping Vietnamese enterprises build safe, green, and sustainable products for the market,” Ms. Vu Kim Hanh emphasized.
