Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Algerian Prime Minister work with businesses

According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, during the official visit to the Republic of Algeria, on the evening of November 19, after the conclusion of the Vietnam-Algeria Economic Forum and the talks and meetings between the two countries' senior leaders, in the spirit of "what is said is done, what is committed is implemented", Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb co-chaired a working session with ministries, branches and a number of businesses of the two countries to implement the agreed commitments.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked ministries, branches and businesses of both sides to urgently promote cooperation in the fields of agriculture , especially banana, tea, rice and aquaculture.

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb said that with a large demand for rice and having to import it completely, Algeria hopes to soon implement cooperation projects with Vietnam, and said it is ready to reserve land in eastern Algeria with favorable soil conditions for Vietnamese investors.

The two leaders also asked ministries, sectors and businesses of the two countries to immediately study cooperation projects on energy, investment in the production of petrochemical products, polymer fibers, etc., as well as cooperation in developing 5G products and network systems.

Regarding the implementation mechanism, the two Prime Ministers assigned the Intergovernmental Committee, which has just been upgraded to a mechanism co-chaired by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, to regularly hold regular meetings, in person or in person, every six months or when necessary, to review, urge and promote cooperation projects.

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb hopes that ministries, branches and partners of both sides will soon directly study and exchange projects on the basis of comprehensive assessment of all aspects and within 3 months develop specific proposals to implement the cooperation focuses and priorities agreed at high levels.

In that spirit, within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working visit, on November 20, in the capital of Algeria, leaders of relevant ministries and branches of both sides such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), the Fisheries Association... had a working session with Algerian partners to discuss cooperation possibilities in various fields.

The Algerian Minister of Agriculture and leaders of several ministries and sectors said they will soon visit Vietnam to continue discussing and agreeing on cooperation projects between the two countries in the coming time./.
