On the afternoon of June 12, at the Vietnam - Sweden Business Forum held in Stockholm, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee awarded the Investment Registration Certificate to the project "Polyester Fabric Recycling Production Complex" of SYRE Impact AB Company (Sweden).

The ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Swedish Minister of International Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa, and leaders of ministries and sectors of the two countries. The event was part of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Sweden from June 12-14.

The “Polyester Fabric Recycling Production Complex” project has a total investment of up to 1 billion USD (about 24,970 billion VND), expected to be located in Nhon Hoi Industrial Park (Quy Nhon City) with a scale of 28.77 hectares and an operating period of 50 years.

The project's goal is to recycle textile waste into PET plastic granules, aiming for an environmentally friendly textile industry, with a capacity of 150,000 - 250,000 tons of PET/year.

The project is divided into 3 phases: from 2025 - 2026, completing legal procedures; from 2027 - 2028, building the factory, installing equipment; in 2029, testing and officially putting into operation.

This is one of the largest projects in the field of textile waste recycling in Vietnam, expected to make an important contribution to the goal of green transformation, sustainable development of the textile industry and creating economic development momentum in the South Central region.

Earlier the same day, the Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee had a working session with Ms. Susanna Campbell - President of SYRE Group and the company's Board of Directors at SYRE headquarters. Here, the two sides discussed the next steps of the project in Binh Dinh, emphasizing modern technology, circular production model and prioritizing the use of domestic textile waste.

Ms. Susanna Campbell affirmed that many international investors have committed to contribute capital such as H&M, TPG Rise Climate; at the same time, committed to using modern technology, making the most of Vietnam's textile waste and coordinating with Quy Nhon University to develop human resources for the project.
