On the afternoon of May 9, in Vinh Phuc , A My Industrial Joint Stock Company (AMY GRUPO) held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with 3 foreign enterprises: Sacmi Group (Italy), Altadia Group (USA) and Torrecid Group (Spain) to supply machinery, technology and raw materials to implement the AMY sintered stone factory project.
AMY GRUPO is exporting 70% of its total products to the US and EU markets.
It is expected that this sintered stone factory will start construction in Vinh Phuc in June this year and will have products on the market by April 2024. The factory has an investment capital of 30 million USD, a capacity of 2.5 million m2 /year, creating jobs for 300 local workers.
Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of AMY GRUPO, said that sintered stone has become a new high-end material chosen by many designers and architects around the world but is still not widely known in Vietnam. After about 2-3 years of research, this enterprise is determined to invest in building a factory in Vietnam to soon have products exported to the world.
In particular, this project is invested by the enterprise with the most modern technological lines, converting to green production, reducing carbon emissions. The production technology of the sintered stone factory helps save about 30% of electricity and heat compared to current traditional technology.
Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan signed with foreign partners to implement the sintered stone factory project in Vietnam.
In addition, sintered stone products when introduced to the market will compete, contributing to replacing artificial stone using silica powder which is being strictly inspected, restricted from import or taxed very highly by many importing countries. In addition, sintered stone is expected to create a new consumer trend, replacing natural stone products that are destructive and damaging to the environment.
According to Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan, in the context of the sluggish domestic construction materials market, this enterprise is exporting 70% of its total products to the US and EU. In particular, currently, demanding import markets such as Australia, the US, the EU, etc. are increasingly demanding on standards and quality of green materials, while imposing very high taxes on products that emit a lot of carbon.
"The sintered stone factory project is invested to catch the wave of the world market when the demand for this material will explode in the coming years. We determine that this product will meet all technical and environmental standards... of the most demanding markets such as the US, Europe, and Australia to compete on an equal footing with foreign enterprises," said Mr. Tuan.
