Starting from the faith and determination of an ordinary woman, businesswoman Tran Thi Tung Huong, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Vina HTC Joint Stock Company, has built a strong enterprise, asserting its position in the field of animal feed production, and at the same time, becoming a fulcrum connecting female entrepreneurs in Nam Dinh. Her story is a vivid testament to the courage and heart of women in the integration era.

From the startup journey

I have not met Ms. Huong much, but the impression of her is a gentle, elegant demeanor and a bright smile. However, when working, she shows the decisiveness and strength of an experienced leader. It is the delicate balance between femininity and courage that has helped her build prestige, win the hearts of people and partners.

Born in 1968, Ms. Tran Thi Tung Huong started her business as a feed distributor in Nam Dinh in the late 1990s. At that time, her family's economy was still difficult, her children were still young, and the conditions for transporting goods were limited, but she was not afraid of challenges. With a spirit of learning and strong determination, she gradually expanded her distribution network, achieving an average output of 700 - 1,000 tons/month.

The desire to rise up urged her to join forces with like-minded people to found Vina HTC Joint Stock Company. It was a bold decision, because at that time, a woman establishing an animal feed production enterprise was unprecedented in Nam Dinh. Thanks to the support of family, friends and colleagues, in 2011, Vina HTC was officially established. A year later, the animal feed factory under the Vina HTC and Prolac brands came into operation.

As Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Ms. Huong always clearly defines her responsibilities: both leading the business development and ensuring the lives of dozens of workers attached to the company. Over the past 10 years, Vina HTC has become one of the prestigious animal feed production units in the province, with a modern production line system, capacity of more than 20,000 tons/year, products are present in many northern provinces.

Not only focusing on technology, Ms. Huong also pays special attention to quality and safety. The company invested in a production line to add probiotics to animal feed, aiming for clean products, without using antibiotics or growth hormones. A clear business mindset and steadfastness in the value of community health have helped the Vina HTC brand build a solid trust with customers.

Ms. Huong believes that the secret to steering the business to success is that she always encourages the spirit of learning and long-term commitment of employees. The company not only creates stable jobs for about 50 workers with an average income of 7 million VND/person/month, but also cares about supporting workers to borrow money to build houses, buy means of transport, and take care of their spiritual life. She actively encourages her family to set up a charity fund, regularly supports community activities, and helps the disadvantaged.

Spreading human values

Not stopping at the role of an entrepreneur, in early 2024, Ms. Tran Thi Tung Huong proposed and campaigned for the establishment of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Nam Dinh Province (old). She shared: "I want to create a legal playground for female entrepreneurs in the province to meet, support and develop together."

With the support of the provincial leaders, the Women's Union and departments, branches and sectors, the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association was officially established in May 2024. At the first Congress in June, Ms. Huong was elected as the President of the Association. After only three months of operation, the Association has organized many meaningful programs, leaving a deep impression: sponsoring 50 orphans in 5 years; organizing gift giving for students before the new school year; supporting people affected by typhoon Yagi; coordinating to open training courses, improving capacity for members; participating in domestic and foreign trade activities... Those activities have contributed to affirming the role and position of women entrepreneurs in the province in socio-economic development.

Along with her successes in society, Ms. Huong still fulfills her role as a wife and mother in the family. She frankly shared: "The burden on the shoulders of a businesswoman is very heavy, but I am lucky to have a family who always accompanies and shares, so that I can fully devote myself to my career and social activities."

Her tireless contributions have been recognized with many noble awards. In 2023, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province awarded a Certificate of Merit to Vina HTC Company for its many contributions in linking, supporting agricultural production and building new rural areas.

From an ordinary woman who dared to think and act, Ms. Tran Thi Tung Huong has become an example of dedication and commitment. For her, success is not only about building a strong business, but also about spreading good values ​​to the community and inspiring generations of young women to dare to step out of their comfort zone and assert themselves.
