(QBĐT) - On the morning of April 11, the People's Committee of Nhan Trach commune (Bo Trach) organized a festival to pray for a good harvest, launching the exploitation, fishing, farming, and processing of seafood.
The festival opened with performances by the Nhan Trach Commune Folk Culture Club, including: Folk drum set for the fishing festival, fan drum dance to serve the gods, lantern dance to serve the gods, and rowing boat. With graceful and unique dances, the performances attracted a large audience.
In the harvest festival in Nhan Trach, the most important ritual part is offering incense and reading the funeral oration. The funeral oration expresses gratitude for the protection and support of the gods for fishermen during their sea voyages, as well as the production of the people of the whole commune in the past time; at the same time, praying and wishing for a new peaceful and bountiful fishing season, all production sectors to develop smoothly, and the people to be warm and prosperous.
At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Nhan Trach commune held a launching ceremony for the exploitation, fishing, farming and processing of aquatic products in 2023. Representatives of the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bo Trach district, Ly Hoa Border Guard Station, Nhan Trach Commune People's Committee, and Nhan Trach Commune Credit Fund presented the national flag and many meaningful gifts to fishermen and ship owners, encouraging their enthusiasm in going offshore to produce, contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.
According to Vice Chairman of Nhan Trach Commune People's Committee Pham Manh Hung, the harvest festival in Nhan Trach is a traditional festival imbued with the cultural identity of coastal people, and has an important meaning in educating and fostering love for the homeland and the spirit of community cohesion. This is also an opportunity to promote propaganda and encourage people to actively produce and develop the local economy .
