Poland team beat Kenya, Vietnam women's volleyball team was eliminated

(Dan Tri) - In the late match of the second round of Group G of the 2025 World Volleyball Championship, the Polish women's team beat Kenya 3-1. This result brought Poland and Germany into the round of 16, while the Vietnamese women's team was eliminated.

The match between the Polish and Kenyan women's teams took place on the evening of August 25 in Thailand. In this match, Poland (ranked 3rd in the world ) was clearly superior to the Kenyan women's team (ranked 23rd in the world).

The Polish team won 3-1 (25-17, 15-25, 25-15 and 25-14) against the women's volleyball team from Africa.

This result, combined with the German team's 3-0 victory over the Vietnamese women's volleyball team in the afternoon of the same day, sent the German and Polish teams into the knockout round. Poland and Germany won both of their first two matches, each team having 6 points.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese and Kenyan teams have lost both of their previous matches in the group stage, without any points. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team and the Kenyan women's team have been eliminated.

On August 27, the Vietnamese and Kenyan women's teams will meet in their final match of the group stage, aiming to avoid the bottom spot in Group G.

Before the start of this year's world volleyball championship, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had won against the Kenyan women's team in a friendly match in Hanoi . The Vietnamese women's volleyball team (ranked 22nd) is ranked one place above the Kenyan team in the world rankings.
