Vietnam futsal team plays friendly match with team that has participated in World Cup 4 times

(HNMO) - The Vietnam futsal team will have two friendly matches with the Solomon Islands futsal team at Thai Son Nam Stadium, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam futsal team plays 2 international friendly matches before training trip to South America.

These are two matches organized to serve the professional work of the two teams, on the occasion of the Solomon Islands futsal team coming to Vietnam to train in preparation for the 2023 tournaments.

In terms of world futsal rankings, the Solomon Islands futsal team is ranked 58th, 15 places lower than the Vietnam futsal team. However, the futsal representative from Oceania has impressed with 4 consecutive times qualifying for the FIFA Futsal World Cup finals, from 2008 to 2021.

Historically, the Vietnamese futsal team faced the Solomon Islands futsal team at the 2017 Asian Indoor Games and won 2-1 thanks to goals from Phung Trong Luan and Pham Duc Hoa.

With such quality opponents, these two friendly matches will be a very good basis for coach Giustozzi Diego Raul to evaluate his squad before narrowing down the list of 16 players for the training trip to Paraguay and Argentina.

As planned, the two friendly matches will take place at 5:00 p.m. on May 25 and 26 at Thai Son Nam Stadium, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City.
