On the morning of January 26th, the People's Committee of Bac Hong Ward (Hong Linh Town) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the provincial-level historical and cultural relic ranking certificate for Binh Lang Temple.
Binh Lang Temple is an ancient historical and cultural relic, dating back a long time and possessing significant cultural and revolutionary traditional value. The temple is dedicated to Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang (995 - 1057) - the eighth son of King Ly Thai To, a historical figure who made many contributions to the Hoan Chau region in particular (present-day Nghe An and Ha Tinh ) and the whole country in general. He was a quick-witted, accomplished in both literature and martial arts, intelligent and virtuous.
Binh Lang Temple in Hamlet 5, Bac Hong Ward, is dedicated to Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang.
In 1039, he was appointed by his older brother, King Ly Thai Tong, to Nghe An province to collect taxes. In 1041, he was appointed Governor of Nghe An - with the title of Uy Minh Hou, and later elevated to the rank of prince.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the provincial-level historical and cultural relic certificate to the locality.
