Welcoming international visitors to Nghe An on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024

Attending the event were leaders of the Department of Tourism , Saigon - Kim Lien Hotel and a group of 30 Dutch tourists . The activity aims to promote the image of Nghe An tourism to domestic and international tourists.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism presented flowers and welcomed the delegation to Vinh city. The leaders of the Department of Tourism also introduced the Vietnamese Lunar New Year and invited the delegation to participate in the art program and fireworks display to welcome the new year at Ho Chi Minh Square on New Year's Eve.

In order to introduce to tourists the traditional cultural beauty of the nation, the leaders of the Saigon - Kim Lien Tourism and Hotel Department gave lucky money to the members of the group at the beginning of the new year and introduced the meaning of this custom.

In addition, the group also enjoyed traditional dishes such as banh chung, pickled vegetables, and braised meat at the meeting. The foreign guests expressed their delight at being warmly welcomed and experiencing the unique cultural features of Vietnam.

In the cozy atmosphere of the last afternoon of the year, everyone drank wine together to celebrate the new year.

According to statistics, in 2023, the total number of visitors staying in Nghe An will reach 5,280,000, equal to 120% compared to 2022, of which international visitors will be 77,500, equal to 231% compared to 2022; tourism revenue will reach 7,800 billion VND, equal to 139% compared to 2022. Compared to the requirements of the growth scenario in 2023, the tourism industry has exceeded the set targets in terms of both the number of visitors and tourism revenue, contributing to the total GRDP income of the province.

In 2024, the tourism industry strives to welcome a total of 5,500,000 visitors (equal to 104% compared to 2023), including 120,000 international visitors (equal to 155% compared to 2023), tourism service revenue reaches 9,000 billion VND (equal to 115% compared to 2023).
