From remote villages to suburban communes, people expressed their interest and expectations in the new policies proposed by the Congress to further develop their homeland.
Sharing beliefs and expectations
Although it was the rice harvest season, Mr. Nay Kham's family (Sar hamlet, Ia Rbol commune) still decided to take half a day off from working in the fields and stay home to gather in front of the TV screen.

Mr. Kham shared: The Provincial Party Congress is a very important event, deciding the development direction for the next 5 years. Buon Sar has met the new rural standards in the ethnic minority area, there are no poor households, and only 4 near-poor households. However, the average living standard of the people is still low.
"I hope the new Provincial Party Executive Committee will pay more attention to support policies for ethnic minority areas, especially in terms of health insurance, investment in roads and lighting systems in rural areas. Only when infrastructure is developed will people have the conditions to expand production, increase income and escape poverty sustainably," Mr. Kham expressed.
Similarly, Mr. Ksor Jeh's family (Suoi Cam hamlet, Uar commune) got up early in the morning to prepare for work, then spent time watching the 1st Provincial Party Congress on TV.
Mr. Jeh said: “Having listened to the news on the radio and television for many days, we are very eager to see the developments of the Congress. The people in the village are also very interested, because all policies and resolutions of the province have a direct impact on the lives of the people. I hope the province will have more policies to prioritize the development of agriculture applying science and technology, support the consumption of agricultural products, and help people feel secure in sticking with rice, cassava and sugarcane.”

Trust in new decisions
In Brel village (Ia Hrung commune), Mr. Puih Hmơnh - Secretary of the village Party Cell also spent the whole morning with party members and villagers watching the live broadcast of the Congress.

He expressed: “The first Congress after the merger is a great milestone, gathering intelligence and demonstrating the solidarity of the whole province. As Secretary of the Party Cell, I pay special attention to resolutions related to Party building, training and fostering young ethnic minority cadres. This is a key factor to improve leadership capacity at the grassroots level. I believe that the new Executive Committee will have many innovations and pay more attention to training the next generation of cadres, helping the grassroots to be stable and creating trust for the villagers.”
Not only the Party cell leaders, many people in Brel village also enthusiastically followed the Congress with high expectations. Mr. Ksor Hai (Brel village, Ia Hrung commune) said: "We hope the province will have more programs to support young people in starting a business, especially in the fields of agriculture and community tourism. With stable jobs, young people will stay with their hometown for a long time and will not have to go far away to work."
Mr. Dinh Kel - Secretary of the Sró village Party Cell (Sró commune) - emphasized: "In addition to economic development policies, we hope the province will pay more attention to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values. Culture is the source and strength that unites the community, and at the same time creates the driving force for sustainable development."

It is easy to see that whether in Sar village, Suoi Cam village, Sró village or Brel village, people are following the Congress with excitement. Live television and radio broadcasts help people in remote areas not to miss the important event.
According to Mr. Ksor Jêh, the difference this time is that people not only watch, but also enthusiastically discuss issues directly related to life. "We believe that the new Provincial Party Executive Committee will have fundamental solutions to promote potential, bringing the Tay Gia Lai region to more sustainable development" - Mr. Jêh expressed his hope.
In many ethnic minority communes, local authorities have arranged community gathering places for people to watch. This atmosphere demonstrates both a sense of responsibility and a belief in the future.
From Mr. Nay Kham's expectations for rural infrastructure, to Mr. Ksor Jeh's wishes for agricultural policy, or Mr. Puih Hmơnh's aspirations in training cadres and Mr. Dinh Kel's aspirations in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities... all show that people have great faith in the Congress.
The first Provincial Party Congress is an important milestone that opens a new development path after the province's merger. With close attention from the grassroots, the consensus and solidarity of the entire Party and people, Gia Lai will have more motivation to break through and rise up worthy of its existing potential and advantages.
People in the West Gia Lai region expect the Congress not only to bring about correct and accurate decisions, but also to quickly put the Resolution into practice. When trust from the grassroots is fostered by practical policies, the West region of the province in particular and Gia Lai in general will certainly be increasingly innovative and develop sustainably.
