Buddhists join hands to build and strengthen the great national unity bloc

On May 25, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien visited and congratulated Office I, Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of the Great Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2567 - Gregorian calendar 2023, at Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi).

In the joyful atmosphere of the celebration of the great festival of monks, nuns and Buddhist followers nationwide, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien sent to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu and all the Venerable monks, nuns and Buddhist followers nationwide the best wishes, warm regards, and precious feelings, to celebrate the Great Buddha's Birthday in peace, health and happiness.

Acknowledging and appreciating the contributions of Buddhists nationwide, Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized that the results in the country's socio-economic aspects in recent times have demonstrated the joint efforts of the entire Party, people and army, including the contributions of monks, nuns and Buddhists.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that in the coming time, the most venerable monks, venerable monks, venerable monks, and the Executive Committees of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha nationwide will continue to mobilize and encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhists to overcome difficulties, accompany the Party and the State to promote socio-economic development; maintain and promote the spirit of great national unity, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements.

Expressing gratitude for the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and personally Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and members of the working delegation who visited and congratulated on this important occasion, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Permanent Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, emphasized that this is a great encouragement and motivation for dignitaries, monks and Buddhists.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu said that over the past time, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has always accompanied the Party, the State and the people, participating in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front. In particular, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha participated in the launching ceremony to support the construction of Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province organized by the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu affirmed that in the coming time, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to actively mobilize monks, nuns, and Buddhists to strictly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, further promote the tradition of "protecting the nation and bringing peace to the people", continue to contribute to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, and join hands to build a rich, strong, and civilized homeland and country.
