In 2024, Dong Giang district set 22 socio -economic development targets, of which 19 targets were achieved and exceeded.

Specifically, the total value of agricultural - forestry - fishery production reached 372.4 billion VND, reaching 103.24% of the plan, up 7.69% compared to 2023; industrial - construction production reached 1,876 billion VND, 105.4% of the plan, up 6.83%; service production value increased by 8.45%. The total state budget revenue of the district was more than 1,327 billion VND, reaching 221.36% of the plan.

In 2024, Dong Giang established 3 new cooperatives, bringing the total number of cooperatives in the district to 12. There are 2 communes maintaining the standards of new rural communes; the average of the whole district reached 13.1 criteria/commune, an increase of 2.4 criteria compared to 2023. To date, there are a total of 6 model new rural villages.

The district completed supporting residential arrangement according to Resolution No. 23 dated July 22, 2021 of the Provincial People's Council for 62/72 households, the disbursement rate reached 100% of the plan. Eliminated 571 temporary and dilapidated houses (target was 563 houses), reaching 101.4% of the plan. The poverty rate is 30.49%, down 6.97% compared to 2023. Average income per capita reached 42 million VND...

Targets not achieved in 2024 include: labor export; large timber plantation; building 4-star OCOP products.

The meeting approved 26 socio-economic development targets for 2025, such as: total cultivated area of ​​3,360 hectares, total grain output of 6,340 tons; elimination of 541 temporary houses; planting 3,150 hectares of new forests (including 300 hectares of large timber forests); forest coverage rate of 66.7%; reduction of 517 poor households; average income per capita of more than 45.8 million VND...
