The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Da Nang city has received more than 24 billion VND in funding; mobilized more than 5,500 working days from the youth union, women's union, ward militia, border guards... to support people in building and repairing houses.

In particular, in addition to the support level prescribed by the Central Government of 60 million VND/household for new construction and 30 million VND/household for repair, Da Nang has increased the support level for new construction to 100 million VND/household, support for house repair to 40 million VND/household for households with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs; increased the support level for new construction to 80 million VND/household for poor and near-poor households.
To date, the city has completed the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with 2,037 houses. Of which, 373 new houses were built and 1,664 houses were repaired, 2 months ahead of schedule compared to the plan of the City Party Committee Steering Committee, with a total implementation budget of over 81.14 billion VND in 2024 and 2025.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, acknowledged that in the context of districts, communes and wards focusing on implementing the arrangement of administrative units with a lot of work, with the responsibility, attention and participation of the entire political system and business community towards vulnerable groups in society, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has achieved remarkable results.
“The Department of Construction is requested to continue to urgently relocate the remaining households in dilapidated apartment buildings, while accelerating social housing projects to meet the housing needs of households in difficult circumstances. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and mass organizations should increase propaganda and appeal, considering this a regular and continuous task to support the poor and those without homes,” the city leader emphasized.

On this occasion, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the city.
Da Nang also supported 71 billion VND for Hau Giang province to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; and 16 billion VND for Quang Nam province. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city supported the construction of 10 new houses for poor and near-poor households in Ea Le commune (Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province), with a total cost of 600 million VND from the city's Temporary and Dilapidated House Elimination Fund.
