A 'death hole' appeared in the center of Da Nang, 3 cars were 'swallowed'

At about 2:15 p.m. on December 3, 2025, An Hai ward authorities (Da Nang) announced the appearance of a "death hole" right on Nguyen Cong Tru street (near the intersection with Ngo Quyen street, An Hai ward), causing many cars to sink.

The incident did not cause any casualties, but three cars parked on the side of the road fell into the hole. Local authorities have dispatched officers to cordon off the scene, ensure public safety, and investigate and clarify the incident.

The crater is more than 3 meters wide, more than 10 meters long, and about 2 meters deep.

Authorities went down to the hole to deploy a crane to lift the car up.
