Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 07939/UBND-KTTH dated November 20, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has reviewed and finalized the content of the Green Economy Forum in Hanoi, focusing on the theme "Sustainable Agriculture". Ca Mau is facing many major challenges due to climate change, especially drought, saltwater intrusion, high tides and extreme storms. These factors have a strong impact on agricultural production, especially the shrimp-rice and shrimp-forest ecosystems, which are the province's strengths. In addition, irrigation, electricity and transport infrastructure are not yet synchronized; input costs are high while productivity and quality are not stable, making the competitiveness of agricultural products in the international market limited. In addition, farmers have not yet widely applied export standards and water management techniques, soil nutrient management - affecting product quality.

At the Green Economy Forum, Ca Mau proposed 6 key cooperation groups with EuroCham to promote sustainable agricultural production models:

1. Standards – certification – EU market: Cooperation in training, assessment of shrimp – rice, shrimp – forest value chains; development of an upgrade roadmap according to EU standards and implementation of a digital traceability system.

2. Green technology and environmental treatment: Support wastewater and sludge treatment models; apply recirculation technology, energy saving and renewable energy in shrimp farming.

3. Carbon credits: Coordinate the development of carbon credit projects for key agricultural ecosystems; connect with international organizations to commercialize carbon credits.

4. Green value chain and EU-style cooperatives: Support the restructuring of cooperatives, build a production-processing-export linkage model; call for investment in logistics centers according to European standards.

5. Human resource training: Develop standardized training programs on techniques, quality management, EU standards and sustainable farming.

6. Attracting investment: Prioritizing high-tech seafood processing projects, renewable energy and smart irrigation serving shrimp-rice areas.

The careful preparation of the content for the Green Economic Forum demonstrates Ca Mau 's determination to transform the growth model, improve agricultural quality and affirm its position in the journey of green and sustainable development./.
