New look of familiar land

In the 90s and early 2000s, the Danang coastline from Non Nuoc area (Ngu Hanh Son District) to Son Tra, to Danang Bay, was as beautiful as a sleeping princess in the forest, waiting to be awakened.

Tourism activities are still in their infancy at this time, with few accommodation and entertainment facilities, and need synchronous planning along with a systematic strategy to protect the environment and marine resources.

The eastern coastal area of Da Nang was invested and developed first, going down to Hoi An, creating an ecosystem with its own tourism brand of Da Nang today.

Meanwhile, the Northwest of Da Nang with its beautiful, poetic crescent-shaped bay, imbued with coastal cultural identity, stretches through the fishing villages of Thanh Khe and Nam O, but has not yet developed commensurately.

Da Nang City is in dire need of dynamic businesses to invest in high-class accommodation systems, 5-star resorts, and diverse day and night entertainment complexes in the northwest.

In April 2023, after a period of incubation and thorough preparation, Trung Thuy Group launched the Nam O Eco-tourism Area project. Previously, the group invested more than 50 billion VND in a cluster of utility works serving the community.

Including Nguyen Tat Thanh Street Park, Nam O Village Model Exhibition Area with Vietnamese architecture, archway sculpture facing the rapids and Nam O Snack Street creating livelihoods for local people.

Many tourists who have been to Nam O before were surprised by the newly completed Nam O Village Model Exhibition House, because this place used to be a landfill and garbage collection site.

Thanks to that, Nam O fishing village has a new look, creating a driving force to promote the Northwest region to attract more key projects.

Since April 2023, thousands of tourists have visited Nam O fishing village every day, showing the attraction of this new destination. In particular, with the unique location of Da Nang Bay, this place is chosen by young people to "chill" because they can watch the sunrise and sunset with a million-view angle embracing the entire arc of the coastline.

Tourism development associated with environmental protection

Identifying the goal of developing tourism associated with environmental protection - green tourism in Nam O, Trung Thuy Group cooperated with Lien Chieu District People's Committee to have many sustainable solutions. Nam O rock reef has installed many trash cans, built toilets, arranged cleaning and service teams.

In particular, campaigns and movements of staff and the community cleaning the beach, propagating and encouraging tourists to visit the moss beach to raise awareness and not litter have gradually returned a clean and beautiful moss beach, creating sparkling photos for photography enthusiasts.

In addition, Trung Thuy Group also hired workers to clean up the willow forest, and worked with business people in Nam O Snack Street to take care of the area, such as renovating the path down to the beach, planting more suitable vines to add green to the landscape.

Trung Thuy Group also regularly implements training programs and promotes environmental protection awareness so that local people and tourists can join together to build a green, clean and beautiful destination.

In the trend of green, environmentally friendly tourism, developing projects associated with culture and community of Trung Thuy in Nam O, is the key to creating a sustainable value chain in the key economic sector, contributing to promoting the Northwest region of Da Nang.
