Accompanying people to implement digital transformation

On the morning of October 10, the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward (HCMC) organized a program to respond to the National Digital Transformation Day to promote the synchronous participation of the political system to speed up the progress of digital transformation tasks in the area.

At the program, the ward granted decisions to establish Community Digital Technology Teams for 15 neighborhoods; at the same time, provided basic skills training to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and members of the Community Digital Technology Teams.

The training content focuses on launching the Golden Week of online public services, registering digital signatures via VNeID, guiding cashless payments, and improving capacity with AI.

Mr. Tran Cong Binh, Deputy Head of the Front Work Committee, Head of the Digital Technology Team of Hung Tho Ward, said that the biggest difficulty now is that the elderly's reception of information technology is still limited; while young people have not been trained and instructed in new knowledge.

"The training course will help us gain more useful knowledge and skills to serve our work and guide and propagate to the people," Mr. Tran Cong Binh shared.

Mr. Tran Cong Binh discussed the difficulties and challenges facing the Community Digital Technology Team.

During the Golden Week of Online Public Services (from October 1 to October 15), Thuan An Ward Public Administration Service Center strives to:

- 80% or more of the records generated by citizens and businesses are submitted and paid online.

- 100% of administrative procedure results on the day of result return are digitally signed.

- 100% of pensioners, social insurance benefits, and unemployment benefits in the ward are paid through non-cash payments.

Youth union members need to equip themselves with more new knowledge about technology to keep up with the trend.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward, noted that each civil servant, public employee, and non-professional worker of the ward, and community digital technology organizations must be proactive and persistent in accompanying the people to effectively carry out digital transformation work in the area.

Each ward official and civil servant must be a guiding nucleus, a "digital ambassador" to help people understand the benefits of online public services: they are quick, convenient and cost-effective.

Responding to National Digital Transformation Day October 10 and Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Day 2025, Thuan An ward chose the action message: "Digital transformation: faster, more efficient, closer to the people" to serve the people better.
