Inauguration of the road connecting the center of An Nhon town to the coastal road west of Thi Nai lagoon:
Driving force for development of new economic space
(BD) - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the morning of April 19, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with a number of provinces and cities across the country to organize online inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for projects, including the project of the Road connecting the center of An Nhon town to the coastal road west of Thi Nai lagoon.
Attending the ceremony were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, and leaders of central ministries, departments and branches.

On the side of Binh Dinh province, the ceremony was attended by comrades: Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Kim Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Dinh province; Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; former leaders of the province through the periods together with leaders and people of An Nhon town, Tuy Phuoc district, where the project passes through.
The project starts at the intersection with National Highway 1 at Km1210+940 and the extended Le Hong Phong road (Binh Dinh ward, An Nhon town), and ends at the intersection with the coastal road west of Thi Nai lagoon (Cat Tien - Diem Van section) at Km7+508, in Phuoc Son commune, Tuy Phuoc district. The route is about 9.4 km long, passing through An Nhon town and Phuoc Hung, Phuoc Quang, Phuoc Hiep, Phuoc Son communes (Tuy Phuoc district). The project is designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road, with a speed of 80 km/h, a 19 m wide asphalt concrete road surface with 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles; the total investment is more than 1,043 billion VND, of which the central budget supports 680 billion VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang emphasized: The project is of special importance in the province's transport infrastructure development strategy. The completed route not only helps shorten travel time, increase connectivity between An Nhon Town, Tuy Phuoc District and the northern area of Quy Nhon City, but also opens up new development space to the west of Thi Nai Lagoon, creating favorable conditions to attract investment and promote local socio-economic development.

Construction started in March 2022, after more than 3 years of construction, the project encountered many difficulties, especially in compensation and site clearance. With the strong direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the close coordination between departments, branches, localities and the efforts of the investor and contractors, the project was completed on schedule, ensuring quality according to requirements, effectively implementing the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, in prioritizing investment in synchronous, modern, inter-regional transport infrastructure. The route not only serves socio-economic development, but also ensures national defense - security, and disaster relief in the area.
