(DN) - On the morning of July 28, the Provincial People's Committee and the Diplomatic Academy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) held the opening ceremony of the Training Course on skills, updating knowledge of foreign affairs and diplomatic protocol for officials and civil servants of Dong Nai province in 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony, on the side of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were comrades: Pham Thu Hang, Director of the Press and Information Department, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Tran Thanh Cong, former Ambassador of Vietnam to Romania and Egypt, former Deputy Director of the State Protocol Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
Dong Nai Province attended the opening ceremony with comrades: Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leaders of departments, branches, communes and wards.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training course, Comrade Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that on January 24, 2025, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on "International integration in the new situation". This is a breakthrough decision, marking a historic turning point in the country's international integration process, identifying integration as a strategic driving force for Vietnam to firmly enter a new era of development.
For Dong Nai province, international integration is not only an objective requirement but also an important driving force for sustainable development and improving local competitiveness. Dong Nai province clearly identifies that in order to effectively promote international integration, it is necessary to have a team of leaders and managers with sufficient capacity, courage, global thinking and the ability to adapt to complex changes in the international environment.

Therefore, the training course is extremely important. This is not only an opportunity to update knowledge about the international situation, foreign policies and guidelines of the Party and State, but also creates opportunities to share valuable practices and experiences from experts and lecturers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

To make the class most effective, Comrade Vo Tan Duc asked the reporters to convey basic knowledge and some skills in foreign affairs. The trainees should promote a sense of responsibility, study seriously, actively discuss, and combine theoretical knowledge with practical work, thereby effectively applying it to the process of advising and implementing political tasks, foreign affairs, and international cooperation in the locality, industry, and unit where they work.
In the program, more than 300 students will be presented with 3 topics by the reporters, including: world and regional situations and interview skills, handling foreign press crises; practicing reception skills at foreign receptions; and fostering foreign reception skills.
