Dong Thap and Tien Giang: Cultural exchange "Tien River, lotus love song"

(ABO) “Tien River, lotus love song” is the theme of the cultural exchange program jointly organized by the Tien Giang Province Literature and Arts Association and the Dong Thap Province Literature and Arts Association in My Tho City recently.

Poet Truong Trong Nghia spoke at the exchange.

Attending the program were comrade Pham The Vinh, Deputy Head of Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee; and more than 30 artists from the two localities.

Artists from Tien Giang and Dong Thap took souvenir photos at the exchange.

In his opening speech, poet Truong Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Tien Giang Literature and Arts Association, said: “Tien River, the Lotus Love Song” is one of the cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. This is also an opportunity for artists from the two provinces to meet, exchange and connect, and spread creative inspiration. In the future, Tien Giang and Dong Thap will not only be a merger of administrative boundaries, but also a deep connection in culture, people and aspirations.

During the exchange, artists from the two localities performed many songs, vọng cổ, cải lương excerpts... highlighting the tradition of revolutionary struggle, commemorating the Liberation Day of the South and national reunification; praising the Party, praising Uncle Ho, the beauty of the land and people of Tien Giang and Dong Thap.

On this occasion, the delegation of artists from Dong Thap province also visited a number of historical and cultural relics and scenic spots in Go Cong, My Tho... to learn about the reality to serve their creative work.
