The SwissTrade project promotes sustainable trade development.

On December 16th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Vietnam, held a closing ceremony for the Vietnam Trade Policy and Export Promotion Project, funded by the Swiss Government (SwissTrade).

The project is a technical cooperation program aimed at enhancing trade capacity and supporting Vietnamese businesses in achieving sustainable exports.

The SwissTrade project has achieved outstanding results in all three components: perfecting the trade policy framework; strengthening public-private dialogue mechanisms in policy making; and developing capacity for the export promotion ecosystem.

The project has contributed to supporting the development of import and export strategies until 2030, enhancing transparency and efficiency in trade policy formulation, and improving the capacity to support small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing market information, meeting international standards, and expanding their businesses.

The key lessons learned from the project will provide a crucial foundation for future collaborative programs, such as policy planning based on analytics and data, promoting effective public-private dialogue, and focusing on innovation and digital transformation.

The achievements will continue to be built upon and developed, serving the goal of enhancing national competitiveness and supporting Vietnamese businesses in expanding into international markets.
