World oil prices today
World oil prices recorded a sharp increase last week. WTI crude oil was at 81.46 USD/barrel last week, increasing to 83.44 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI crude oil increased by 1.98 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous week.
Brent crude oil was at $84.84/barrel last week, up to $86.86/barrel this weekend. Overall, Brent crude oil increased by $2.02/barrel last week, up 2.3% compared to the previous week.
According to analysts, oil prices maintained their upward momentum after a report from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed that US oil inventories fell by a "huge" 12.2 million barrels, nearly 18 times more than analysts expected.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On July 7, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of July 4. Accordingly, the price of kerosene increased the most, by 602 VND/liter, followed by RON 95-III gasoline, which increased by 542 VND/liter. Diesel oil increased by 487 VND/liter, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 447 VND/liter and fuel oil increased by 88 VND/kg.
Gasoline discount today
Discount prices of petroleum products today, July 7, at some domestic petroleum dealers are as follows:
Pvoil applies discount rates on July 7: RON 95-III gasoline: Oil discount of VND1,550/liter; RON 95-III gasoline: VND1,450/liter; E5 gasoline: VND1,250/liter. This discount rate is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on July 7 as follows: Oil discount: 1,500 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,400 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on July 7: 95 gasoline: 1,400 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; oil: 1,500 VND/liter.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices will be adjusted in opposite directions. Of which, gasoline will increase by 100-200 VND/liter; oil will decrease by 100 VND/liter.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 11 times. Oil prices have increased 15 times and decreased 12 times.
