Russian tourist happy to get back lost passport and property

This morning (September 19), the Immigration Department of Hue City Police coordinated with Kim Long Ward Police (Hue City) to return the lost passport and property to Mr. Klimov Pavel (born 1973, Russian nationality).

Previously, on the afternoon of September 18, when traveling to Hue City, Mr. Klimov Pavel and a group of friends cycled through Minh Mang Street. While stopping to buy some souvenirs and take out his wallet to get money, Mr. Pavel dropped his passport and 600,000 VND.

At around 5:00 p.m. the same day, while performing the task of ensuring security and traffic safety on the walking street along the Perfume River, Kim Long Ward Police officers received a passport bearing the name of Mr. Klimov Pavel and the money that was picked up by a resident and handed it over.

The Immigration Department of Hue City Police and Kim Long Ward Police returned the lost passport and property to Mr. Klimov Pavel.

At this time, Kim Long Ward Police contacted the Immigration Department of Hue City Police to coordinate in finding Mr. Klimov Pavel to return the property. With a sense of responsibility and by professional measures, the Immigration Department quickly verified and determined that Mr. Klimov Pavel was staying at a hotel on Vo Thi Sau Street (Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City), so they contacted this tourist to the police agency to complete procedures to receive the property back.

After receiving his passport and the lost money, Mr. Klimov Pavel immediately wrote a thank you letter to the officers of the Immigration Department of Hue City Police and Kim Long Ward Police.

“I felt extremely worried when I discovered that I had lost my passport because tomorrow (September 20) I had to leave the country and return to my country. However, fortunately, people picked up my passport and belongings and asked the Hue City Police to contact me to return them. I will share with my friends and family abroad the noble gesture of the Hue City Police and the Vietnamese people,” Mr. Klimov Pavel wrote in his thank you letter.
