Hanoi: National Highway 3 is deeply flooded, vehicles should take other routes.

On the afternoon of October 10, the Hanoi Department of Construction announced traffic diversion due to deep flooding on National Highway 3.

According to the Department of Construction, flooded locations do not ensure safe traffic for vehicles on National Highway 3, Hanoi City: In areas Km28+00 and Km19+00, there is deep flooding.

Remote traffic diversion for vehicles from Hanoi => Hanoi – Thai Nguyen expressway => Bac Phu intersection => Xuan Cam bridge => Hiep Hoa => Thai Nguyen (trucks, high-chassis vehicles, limited cars);

Or Hanoi => QL18 Intersection => Bac Ninh => Cho overpass => Cong Xuyen bridge => Hiep Hoa.

Traffic diversion plan to Thai Nguyen: From National Highway 3 at Km24+670 (Soc Son intersection), turn right to Nui Doi => turn left on Nui Doi-Bac Phu road => to Bac Phu intersection with Hanoi-Thai Nguyen highway => go to Thai Nguyen;

From National Highway 3 to Km19+750 (Mai Noi-National Highway 18 intersection) => National Highway 18 => go to Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway intersection => enter the expressway to Thai Nguyen.

Traffic diversion plan to Bac Ninh: From National Highway 3 to Km3+630 => turn right to Duc Tu => go to Van Ha, Co Chau => go to Bac Ninh;

From QL3 Km24+670 (Soc Son intersection) turn right to Nui Doi => turn (Soc Son intersection) turn right to Nui Doi => turn left on Nui Doi-Bac Phu road => to Bac Phu intersection => Xuan Cam bridge => Bac Ninh;

The Hanoi Department of Construction requested the People's Committees of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces to announce traffic organization and safety at flooded locations on the route on mass media to guide and warn vehicles traveling through flooded areas.

Along with that, the People's Committees of the communes in Dong Anh, Phuc Thinh, Soc Son, Trung Gia arranged for functional forces to be on duty, coordinate with relevant units to regulate and guide traffic flow at flooded locations according to the traffic flow organization plan of the Department of Construction, to prevent traffic insecurity and traffic congestion from occurring.

Organize propaganda for local people in the area to understand traffic flow adjustment plans.

The Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board develops plans and directs road management units to arrange human resources, materials, and equipment to coordinate traffic flow and ensure traffic safety at flooded areas according to the plan of the Department of Construction.

The Department of Construction also requested the Hanoi Traffic Police Department to direct its affiliated agencies and units to coordinate with the Department of Construction to guide traffic flow and traffic regulation for vehicles participating in traffic at flooded locations according to the Department of Construction's traffic flow organization plan and in accordance with the rain, flood and inundation situation in the above area, to prevent traffic insecurity and traffic congestion from occurring...
