Beach tourism promises a fun season.

June, marking the beginning of the summer holidays, is the ideal time for families to take trips and enjoy exciting experiences by the sea.

Quality of service in attracting tourists

The intense heat has caused a surge in demand for escapes from the heat, driving the beach tourism market into unprecedented activity. Many beach tours, from Ha Long and Cat Ba to Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc, are continuously fully booked, and numerous accommodations have been completely booked since the beginning of summer.

Ms. Quang Thi Huong, from Kim Lien ward, Hanoi , said: Last May, my husband and I, along with a group of eight close friends, went on a trip to Hai Tien beach. The beach was quite clean, the waves were moderate, giving me and my friends a pleasant, relaxing, and invigorating experience.

According to Ms. Huong, Hai Tien beach is suitable for families on vacation. The hotel and restaurant infrastructure here is quite good, with services ranging from budget-friendly to high-end. Fresh seafood such as squid, fish, oysters, and shrimp are delicious and affordable, despite being a tourist destination. Hotel rooms, even on weekends, are reasonably priced, ranging from 500,000 to 700,000 VND per room per night; higher-end options cost around 1 million VND per room per night. Electric buggy service from the hotel to the beach and back costs 200,000 VND per trip (7-seater).

Ms. Huong said that the family group rented their own cars, booked their own hotels, and organized their sightseeing and beach trips. The total cost for the 2-day, 1-night trip was under 2 million VND per person, which was quite reasonable for a weekend getaway. Many bought seafood to bring back to Hanoi as gifts for relatives and for their families. The summer vacation helped strengthen bonds and friendships. At the end of the trip, all members returned to Hanoi safely, feeling refreshed and energized to continue working and being creative in their jobs.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, owner of Van Thanh restaurant in Hai Tien, said: "From the end of April until now, the restaurant has been crowded every day; during the April 30th and May 1st holidays, the number of customers increased dramatically, with the restaurant serving double its capacity on some days. Despite the large number of customers, the restaurant still ensures sufficient food supplies, does not raise prices, and does not pressure customers. The restaurant provides free electric shuttle service from hotels to the restaurant and back to hotels after meals. Consistent service quality and a friendly atmosphere will encourage customers to stay longer at the beach, and in future years, they will remember the restaurant whenever they return to Hai Tien beach."

"Killing two or three birds with one stone"

Ms. Dong Thi Hang, a tourist, said: Initially, her family planned to travel abroad, but after calculating airfare, accommodation costs, and the vacation schedule of her two young children, they decided to switch to domestic travel. Therefore, she booked a 4-day, 3-night family tour to Da Nang to "hunt" for the international fireworks display. According to Ms. Hang, Da Nang offers both beaches and a series of activities, games, and group events; a single trip allows for many experiences, outdoor activities for the children, and bonding among family members. The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 is also becoming one of the biggest attractions in Central Vietnam during the summer, lasting throughout the season with dozens of accompanying activities such as street carnivals, music festivals, art performances, and food festivals.

Not to be outdone, Ha Long Bay also captivates many domestic and international tourists. The Cat Ba archipelago is located south of Ha Long Bay, in the Cat Hai special zone of Hai Phong city, 30km from the city center. It comprises 367 islands of varying sizes, with Cat Ba being the largest island, covering an area of ​​approximately 100km2.

In Cat Ba, tourists can rent a boat to explore Lan Ha Bay, stopping at beautiful beaches of all sizes with whimsical names: Cat Co Beach, Ben Beo Beach, Co Tien Beach… or visiting Trung Trang, Hoa Cuong, and Thien Long caves to discover fascinating nature, and then stopping at any small bay to enjoy fishing and immerse themselves in the lush green mountains and clear blue waters.
