Da Nang tourism earns over 2,426 billion VND during the April 30 and May 1 holidays

Specifically, on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, Da Nang city organized more than 30 cultural, artistic, tourism, physical education and sports activities and events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) associated with the summary of 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification to serve the people and tourists.

The units organize many attractive activities to serve the people and tourists such as free tickets to visit Da Nang Museum; Fine Arts Museum organizes an art exhibition with the theme "Da Nang brocade";

Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area operates the new cable car route No. 8 taking visitors from Hoi An Station 2 to the Moon Kingdom, organizes the Sun Flower Festival, Ba Na by night Combo with buffet dinner at Beer Plaza and special shows, gives red flag shirts with yellow stars to visitors when buying cable car and buffet combo, gives gifts of gratitude to visitors wearing red flag shirts with yellow stars; Nui Than Tai hot spring park organizes a parade to welcome the God of Wealth.

Accommodation facilities arrange areas for visitors to check-in and have preferential service programs for visitors during peak holiday seasons.

The total number of visitors to Da Nang during the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1 is estimated at 610,000, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2024.

The number of overnight visitors is estimated at 230,395, of which international visitors are estimated at 105,000, up 44%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 2,426 billion, up more than 50% over the same period in 2024.

Room capacity is estimated at 85%, on April 30 - May 2, most facilities reached 100% capacity (including central areas, areas with high tourist concentration or areas far from the center such as Nguyen Tat Thanh beach route, Lien Chieu area, Hoa Bac area, Hoa Ninh).

According to information from Da Nang International Airport, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, there were 654 flights to Da Nang, an increase of about 12% compared to normal days, with an average of about 130 flights/day (52 international flights and 78 domestic flights); of which, there were 261 international flights; 393 domestic flights.

During this year's holiday, there was a cruise ship arriving at Tien Sa port (Aidastella) on April 30 with more than 2,000 multinational guests (USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Netherlands...) to visit famous destinations of Da Nang city such as Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot, Linh Ung-Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum...

The number of visitors experiencing Han River cruises reached more than 18,100 thousand. The number of visitors coming to Da Nang by train during this holiday reached more than 13,600.

Some tourist attractions that welcomed a large number of visitors during the 5-day holiday this year include Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area, Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, Danang Downtown, Mikazuki Water Park 365, Danang Museum, Son Tra Peninsula, Hai Van Quan...
