Hanoi tourism in 2024 promises many breakthroughs

With efforts in innovation, building products based on traditional foundations and existing potentials, the capital's tourism industry has attracted a large number of tourists right in the first days of the year. In particular, a series of outstanding titles achieved in 2023, such as Hanoi as the world's leading city destination, the world's best golf city destination, etc., have become the driving force for the capital's tourism industry to continue to flourish and make a breakthrough in 2024, attracting domestic and international tourists.

Recently, Wethrift website commented that Hanoi - the capital of Vietnam is one of the 15 most affordable tourist destinations for 2024. Wethrift platform analyzed indicators such as airfare, attraction tickets, tours, public transportation fees, meals, accommodation... to select the 15 destinations with the most affordable travel costs for international visitors in 2024. Hanoi ranked 2nd on this list, just after New Delhi (India).

To achieve the set goals, this year Hanoi will focus on building new tourism products, including researching and developing the F1 racing complex in Nam Tu Liem district into a high-class tourism, sports , and night entertainment complex combined with developing new experiential tourism products associated with heritage - relics, and craft villages.

Earlier this year, the program "Happy Tet 2024" organized by the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in collaboration with the Vietnam Kite Heritage Center, Hanoi Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation, Vietnam Ao Dai Club, Royal Chefs Association, Vietnam Chefs Association at Thang Long Imperial Citadel left many good impressions on diplomatic agencies, international organizations, people, domestic and foreign tourists. The program is also a destination to promote and advertise Tet tourism and Tet holiday for overseas Vietnamese and international tourists coming to the capital; a place to connect trade between domestic and foreign enterprises investing in Hanoi; a place to promote cultural values, heritage, display products, high-quality consumer goods to serve people during Tet.

According to Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang, in 2024, Hanoi Department of Tourism will promote cooperation with provinces and cities to develop tourism routes and products linked to each group of strong products, with mutual complementarity, especially linking with localities to develop the Hanoi - Ha Nam - Ninh Binh spiritual and cultural tourism route, the Hanoi - Son La, Hanoi - Lao Cai - Lai Chau discovery and experience tourism route... In 2024, Hanoi will create a comprehensive growth step in tourism development to achieve both scale, service quality, quantity and quality of tourists to ensure sustainability, maintaining its role as a major tourism center of the country.
