According to businesses, the ITB Berlin 2024 fair does not have a common booth of the Vietnamese tourism industry and lacks booths of local tourism associations and industries. Units from Vietnam are mainly tourism businesses, airlines, accommodation establishments, cruise ships... with strong brands in the industry such as Vietravel, Saigontourist , TMG, Lux Group, Viet Thuan... According to statistics from the Organizing Committee of ITB Berlin 2024, there are 73 Vietnamese businesses divided into separate booths and information counters, most of which are located in Hall 26 of the convention center in Berlin.
Identifying ITB Berlin as one of the most prestigious and important tourism fairs in the world , Vietnamese businesses bring here the best information and products in many fields such as travel, accommodation, cruises, destination management (DMC)... Notably, many cruise products on Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay are introduced at ITB Berlin 2024, with brands such as Essence Grand Halong Bay Cruise, Heritage Cruises, Orchid Cruise...
Mr. Nguyen Duy Phu - Chairman of Lan Ha Yacht Association said: “ITB Berlin 2024 is one of the most prestigious fairs in the world tourism, so businesses around the world gather here to seize the best opportunities for themselves. Despite the high cost, we try to regularly attend ITB Berlin to promote, increase our presence, and offer products to international partners”.
Many hotels and resorts participating in ITB Berlin 2024 such as Silk Path Hotels & Resorts, The Anam Resorts, Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa... create a diverse "common picture" of high-quality accommodation and resort models in Vietnam. A representative of Silk Path Hotels & Resorts shared that the unit wishes to bring the beauty of Vietnamese heritage to the international market: "At ITB Berlin 2024, we strive to inspire unique experiences, high-quality service as well as promote more about the country, people, identity, and culture of Vietnam; especially promoting destinations such as Hanoi, Hue, and Sa Pa".
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Linh - Director of Trusted DMC - Mr. Linh's Adventures Destination Management Company said that although operating separately and having busy schedules, businesses are also actively promoting the common destination of Vietnam. "In addition to their own products, companies also try their best to promote Vietnam tourism together, such as our company promoting the local destination of Ba Be, Bac Kan. However, this year the absence of a 'conductor' and common activities of Vietnam tourism is regrettable, while countries in the region such as Laos, Thailand, Philippines... are all present and organizing bustling activities".
Businesses actively promote Vietnam tourism
According to a representative of Vietravel, at ITB Berlin 2024, the company will focus on promoting Vietnamese tourism to customers from target markets around the world. “The fair offers a great opportunity to promote Vietnamese tourism, connect with 24,000 international exhibitors, buyers and potential customers in the tourism sector; as well as discuss with experts the latest trends in the industry; exchange more knowledge about the tourism industry through a series of seminars and business networking forums”.
BestPrice Travel Company said that right at the fair, the unit invited about 20 international partners to Vietnam to participate in a tourism survey in June 2024: "The 6-day survey trip to promote destinations and tourism products in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh... We boldly invite foreign partners to Vietnam to experience the service, thereby opening up cooperation opportunities not only for the company but also for service providers in Vietnam. At ITB this year, we introduce a 12-15 day Vietnam discovery tour with diverse experiences, going through many destinations from North to South, with the expectation that the tourism industry in many localities will benefit from the flow of international visitors".
On this occasion, Saigontourist Travel organized more than 100 meetings with partners, businesses, and international media to introduce and promote the image of the country, people, and culture of Vietnam as attractive, friendly, high-quality, and safe to the German market in particular and Europe in general. At the same time, it also studied the characteristics and development trends of the market to expand business cooperation with international partners.
Thien Minh Group (TMG) brings to ITB Berlin 2024 outstanding tourism products such as 5-star TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An beach resort, Victoria hotel and resort chain, ÊMM hotel chain, 4-star Victoria Mekong Cruises resort yacht, seaplane of Hai Au Aviation,... In this event, TMG and Vivu Journeys also strengthen promotional methods to attract more international tourists to Vietnam in 2024.
