Motorized paraglider crashes into tourists on beach in Quang Ninh

(PLVN) - On June 19, a clip of a paraglider with a propeller engine crashing into tourists on the beach in Bai Chay area, Ha Long City (Quang Ninh) went viral on social media.

The clip shows a paraglider with a propeller engine having an accident while taking off, causing the pilot to lose control and then crash into a nearby crowd.

The leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province said that immediately after receiving the information, the Department assigned the Department of Sports Management and the Department Inspectorate to work with the flight organizer, verify, and strictly handle according to regulations (if any).

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province emphasized that ensuring safety for tourists and residents is the top priority, aiming to build a safe and friendly tourism environment in the area.

According to the Department’s leader, previously, on June 15, a motorized paraglider also suddenly lost balance, wobbled and fell onto the beach area of ​​Bai Chay Ward (Ha Long City) witnessed by hundreds of tourists and nearby residents. Rescue forces approached and successfully rescued the paraglider operator.
