Implementing the Government's direction, in the early morning of April 9, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security , Vietnamese representative agencies in Myanmar and Thailand, relevant domestic agencies and competent agencies of Myanmar and Thailand to safely bring 39 Vietnamese citizens detained for violating Myanmar's immigration regulations back to Vietnam.

These are the first Vietnamese citizens in Myawaddy, Myanmar waiting to be repatriated. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively working with relevant countries to repatriate the remaining citizens as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Vietnamese citizens be vigilant against invitations to go abroad for “easy work with high salaries” that do not require degrees or qualifications, do not have contracts, and are not conducted through businesses or labor sending organizations. Citizens need to carefully research the job content, expected work location, relatives of the person introducing them, insurance policies, benefits, and consult with competent authorities about the jobs and facilities they plan to work at abroad to avoid becoming illegal residents and workers abroad.
