Using homemade mines to catch fish leaves 2 people injured

On the afternoon of May 18, Mr. Vu Dang Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Krong Commune, Dak Doa District, Gia Lai Province confirmed that in the commune, 2 people were injured while using homemade mines to catch fish.

Initial information, at around 1:00 p.m. on May 17, H. (born in 2008) and T. (born in 2006, both residing in Dak Mong village, Dak Krong commune) brought mines to catch fish in a stream located on the border between village 1, Dak Krong commune and Dung Ro village, Kon Gang commune (both in Dak Doa district).

While using homemade mines, they suddenly exploded, injuring both of them. Both victims were taken to Gia Lai General Hospital for emergency treatment.

The victim's health is currently stable and not life-threatening.
