North-South Expressway through South Central Coast rushes to finish line

After more than 900 days and nights of construction with the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 teams", "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", the North-South expressway component projects through the South Central region are entering the final stage, preparing to reach the finish line.

Of which, the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon expressway project (70km long, total investment of 12,400 billion VND) was registered to open to traffic on August 19 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

In late July 2025, despite the erratic weather, thousands of engineers, workers, and modern machinery and equipment worked tirelessly day and night at construction sites. The construction sites spanned many complex terrains such as hills, steep passes, valleys, deep rivers, mountain tunnels, etc., facing many challenges and dangers. Some bid packages were stuck in terms of site clearance and procedures, forcing contractors to mobilize maximum manpower and equipment, speeding up construction day and night to make up for the delay.

Many locations at the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh highway project (through 2 provinces of Gia Lai and Dak Lak ) are preparing to lay asphalt.
