Duy Xuyen: More than 2,510 hectares of rice and crops were flooded.

(QNO) - Due to the impact of storm No. 1, in the past 2 days, Duy Xuyen district has experienced many prolonged heavy rains, combined with water flowing from upstream with large volumes, causing many areas of summer-autumn crop 2025 to be flooded and destroyed.

This afternoon, June 12, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Duy Xuyen said that in Duy Tan and Duy Hoa communes, some residential roads are now deeply flooded.

Authorities in the two localities have put up ropes, placed warning signs, and set up checkpoints to prevent people and vehicles from passing through the dangerous area to ensure safety.

In Duy Son commune, heavy rain and strong water flow caused a landslide of 15m of stream embankment along National Highway 14H in the commune.

Notably, prolonged heavy rain combined with large volumes of water flowing from upstream flooded 2,175.7 hectares of rice, 334.5 hectares of various crops and 23 hectares of specialized lotus in many localities of Duy Xuyen district.
