EVNNPC - Techshow Science and Technology Exhibition

The EVNNPC Techshow 2026 Science and Technology Exhibition showcases 22 outstanding science and technology products and solutions researched and developed by EVNNPC employees.

On January 12th, in Hai Phong, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) organized the EVNNPC 2026 Techshow Science and Technology Exhibition and a Science and Technology Conference with the theme "Applications of science and technology and digital transformation in the management and operation of the distribution power grid".

This event is a key highlight in the series of activities summarizing business performance in 2025; outlining development directions for the 2026-2030 period; and unlocking the potential and stature of EVNNPC.

In 2025, amidst rising electricity demand and increasingly extreme weather conditions, EVNNPC will comprehensively fulfill its political and business production tasks. Commercial electricity sales will reach 106.54 billion kWh, an increase of 7.46% compared to 2024 and achieving 100.18% of the plan assigned by EVN; revenue from electricity production and business will reach 224,384 billion VND.

During the year, EVNNPC also commenced construction on 77 110kV power grid projects and commissioned 101 220-110kV projects, including many key projects such as the Phu Binh 2 220kV substation and the Thai Nguyen – Bac Giang branch line, gradually improving power supply capacity, relieving power congestion, and meeting the increasing load demand of the region.

This demonstrates EVNNPC's increasingly effective operational and management capabilities for the power system, serving over 11.5 million customers in 17 northern provinces and cities – an area with high load growth rates and a concentration of major economic and industrial centers.

The aforementioned business and investment achievements are closely linked to EVNNPC's unwavering commitment to science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, which have gradually created a sustainable foundation in its strategy.

In 2025, the Northern Power Corporation had 8 initiatives recognized at the EVN level, 2 science and technology projects at the EVN level, and 90 initiatives at the Corporation level, which were directly applied to management, operation, investment, construction, and electricity business. Business and customer service continued to be strongly digitized and transparent, with 99.23% of customers making cashless payments.

At the EVNNPC Techshow 2026 Science and Technology Exhibition, EVNNPC showcased 22 outstanding science and technology products and solutions researched and developed by EVNNPC staff and employees, focusing on the following groups: Smart equipment and tools for operational management and incident handling; artificial intelligence (AI) applications in risk monitoring and early warning; digital platforms and operating software based on big data; and solutions for training and developing digital human resources.

The exhibition also brings together 21 domestic and international technology partners, expanding opportunities for cooperation, transfer, and application of advanced technological solutions.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Ms. Do Nguyet Anh - Chairwoman of the Board of Members of EVNNPC emphasized: “Science and technology and digital transformation are important levers that help EVNNPC improve the efficiency of management, operation, investment, construction, and production and business. Techshow 2026 is a place where technological solutions originating from the practical experience of the Northern power grid converge, directly serving the sustainable development goals of the Corporation.”

Alongside the exhibition, the 2026 Science and Technology Conference is a specialized forum bringing together domestic and international scientists and experts from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and key units of EVNNPC. Presentations will focus on key technological trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), energy storage systems (BESS), power grid modeling and analysis, and digital transformation solutions to reduce power losses and optimize operating costs.

At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien, General Director of EVNNPC, affirmed: “For EVNNPC, the application of science and technology is not only aimed at modernizing the power grid, but also directly creates economic value through optimizing investment, improving operational efficiency, and serving customers better and better. Today's workshop is an important step in transforming scientific knowledge into concrete application solutions.”

Through the Techshow and the 2026 Science and Technology Conference, EVNNPC continues to affirm its determination to use science and technology as a foundation, linking innovation with production and business efficiency and investment in construction, aiming to build a safe, smart, modern, and sustainable power grid in the North, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development in the new period.
