The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G won't receive any updates from now on, except for security patches if needed.
Previously, in August 2022, the manufacturer stopped software support for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy S10e, while the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Lite continued to receive updates because they were launched later.
The Galaxy S10 5G has received three major Android updates. It launched with Android 9.0 and has since been updated to Android 12.
For the first 3 years, the device receives monthly security updates. For the final year, the device only receives quarterly security updates.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S10 Lite will continue to receive quarterly security updates until early 2024 because it was launched a year after the first four devices of the Galaxy S10 series. The phone came pre-installed with Adnroid 10 when it was sold and was updated to Android 13.
