Nearly 3,000 tourists "break ground" in Da Nang on the first day of the new year 2025

DNO - On the morning of January 1, the Department of Tourism organized a series of activities to welcome nearly 3,000 tourists to Da Nang by sea and air.

At Tien Sa port, representatives of the Department of Tourism presented flowers, souvenirs, and experience vouchers to nearly 2,000 European and American tourists on the Noordam cruise ship who came to visit the city.

Noordam is one of four ships in the Vista Class of Holland American Line. With a length of 285.29m and 11 decks serving 924 rooms, Noordam offers guests a classy experience with restaurants, spas, swimming pools, and a variety of entertainment activities.

Departing from Singapore on December 22, the Noordam ship passed through Thailand and Cambodia before arriving in Vietnam.

In Da Nang, tourists will spend two days visiting famous destinations such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum, My Khe Beach and exploring the city by cyclo. The ship will leave Tien Sa Port at 8 p.m. on January 1.

At Da Nang airport, the Department of Tourism coordinated with Da Nang International Airport and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company to organize an art performance to welcome visitors and give away 1,000 vouchers to the first visitors to the city by air (1,000 visitors from Ho Chi Minh City and from Asian countries).

On the first day of 2025, Da Nang International Airport welcomed 125 flights, of which 57 were international flights.

From December 28, 2024 to January 1, 2025 alone, Da Nang International Airport welcomed more than 600 flights, an increase of more than 15% over the same period.
