The contest attracted nearly 400 contestants from primary, secondary and high schools in the southern region. Of these, 295 contestants came from provincial and municipal youth union teams and 87 independent contestants passed the preliminary round.

According to Mr. Tu, the Youth Informatics Contest aims to encourage young people to study, be creative, and practice skills to solve real-life problems; at the same time, discover many IT talents in schools, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources to serve national digital transformation and national development.
The Regional Round of the 2023 Competition with a total of 1,256 contestants will take place in 2 forms: the creative product panel (including 177 products, 307 contestants) will participate in the form of online judging; the programming panel (949 contestants) will take place on June 25 and July 2 in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Dinh province.
Candidates are excited before the exam begins.
Pham Minh Duy, a student at the Gifted High School, Ho Chi Minh City National University, said he had prepared his knowledge very carefully to participate in this contest. "Many students with "great" achievements came to participate. At first, I was a bit worried, afraid that I would not make it to the next round, but after completing the exam, I felt more comfortable because I tried my best" - Duy said.
"I completed more than 50% of the exam. I participated in the contest with the spirit of exchange and learning, so I did not put too much pressure on the results" - Nguyen Thi Tuyen, a student at Nguyen Huu Tri Primary School ( Tien Giang province), said.
This year, the contest attracted more than 1,000 independent candidates nationwide.
Each region will select 8 contestants from each group A, B, C2; 8 teams from group C; each creative product group D2, D3 will select 15 best products to participate. The National Youth Informatics Competition is expected to take place in early August in Quang Ninh province.
