Nearly 5,700 billion VND in September 2 gifts have been given to people.

The State Treasury said that more than half of the money paid to people has been paid, about 5,700 billion VND.

According to information from the State Treasury, as of the afternoon of August 31, about VND5,677 billion in gifts for Independence Day - National Day September 2 were paid in cash to people. The amount paid via bank transfer (social security account integrated on VNeID) was about VND10 billion.

In total, more than VND5,687 billion was spent on gifts for the people on the occasion of September 2nd. This amount is equal to about 53.2% of the total budget (more than VND10,700 billion).

According to the report, 11/34 provinces and cities have completed the withdrawal of funds and given gifts to citizens with a payment rate of over 92% of communes and gift funds.

In particular, Bac Ninh , Hung Yen and Quang Tri provinces have completed transferring funds to 100% of communes and donated 100% of the funds.

Some other localities basically completed the task: Da Nang (91/94 communes); Ha Tinh (65/69 communes); Lai Chau (37/38 communes); Lang Son (60/65 communes); Lao Cai (96/99 communes); Nghe An (127/130 communes); Quang Ninh (51/44 communes); Thanh Hoa (163/166 communes).

Each citizen was given 100,000 VND to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. The total amount is estimated to be over 10,700 billion VND. The transfer of money for September 2 to the people will start from August 30 and will be completed before September 2. In case of objective reasons, citizens can receive gifts after this deadline, but no later than September 15.

People can receive money through their social security accounts integrated on VNeID, or receive it directly at payment points organized by the locality.

Payments are made to permanent households. The amount for each household is calculated per person based on national data. The head of the household or an authorized member receives the payment and transfers it to other members. For citizens who are not registered as permanent residents, the gift is given directly to each person or authorized person.

This is a social security payment, disbursed by the State Treasury through commercial banks.

As of the afternoon of August 31, 30 banks and wallets have linked with the VNeID application to receive subsidies from social policies. Among them, the banks include: Agribank, VietinBank, BIDV, Vietcombank, LPBank, Vikki Bank, MB, PVcomBank, HDBank, ShinhanBank, Co-opBank, TPBank, NCB, NamABank, Kienlongbank, BVBank, ACB, MSB,Sacombank , BaoViet Bank, Techcombank, ABBank, VIB, VPBank, SaigonBank, VietABank and MBV.

Linked wallets include Viettel Money, MobiFone Money, VNPT Money.

Previously, the State Treasury said it would work through the holidays (September 1-2) to deliver money to people on time.

Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are the two localities that received the largest budget for September 2 gifts, over VND989 billion and VND848 billion respectively. Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Dong Thap, Can Tho, An Giang... each received over VND400 billion.
