Placing a signboard to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hoi An City

The city gate (Dai An park) is located at the intersection of Lac Long Quan and Nguyen Phan Vinh streets. Of the four selected gate locations, the gate at the intersection of Lac Long Quan and Nguyen Phan Vinh streets is identified as a symbolic project of a city connected to the axis/chain/coastal development region of the Central region; at the same time connecting the past - present - future with a view of the sea.

The project started construction on May 31, 2024 with a total approved investment of 7.3 billion VND. According to the representative of the Hoi An Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation Center, the construction site is the location where the village/commune was established at the end of the 17th century, called Dai An village/commune, commonly known as Soi May village. The name Dai An village existed until the 19th century.

In order to recall the old names and places of Cam An land in the past; connecting the historical values and traditional local culture with the breath of development of the times, the project was unanimously named "Dai An Park" by Hoi An city.

Hoi An City leaders expect Dai An Park to be a highlight of the local architectural landscape; a useful recreational activity spot for the community, and an interesting stopover for domestic and international tourists on their journey to Hoi An in general and Cam An in particular; contributing to the local socio-economic development in the coming time.
