(BD) - On the morning of April 29, in Quy Nhon City, the Provincial Association of War Veterans held a meeting with outstanding war veterans who participated in the revolution before April 30, 1975, and the War Veterans Liaison Committees and Veterans, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Attending the meeting were comrades: Le Kim Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization and Propaganda Department; Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Binh Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the heroic historical tradition of our nation half a century ago and affirmed that the great victory in the spring of 1975 to liberate the South and unify the country was the result of the strength of great national unity. At the same time, during the 21 years of resistance war against the US to save the country, the Binh Dinh battlefield contributed significantly with our army and people to successively defeat the war strategies of the US imperialists.
Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Kim Toan affirmed that in the common achievements of the army and people of the whole country, and of Binh Dinh province in particular, there is a particularly important role of war veterans. With ardent patriotism, bravery and steadfast revolutionary will, generations of war veterans have overcome all difficulties and hardships to contribute to the glorious victory in the revolutionary cause of liberating the homeland and the country.
“ Right after the liberation day, the Party Committee, army and people of Binh Dinh united to overcome difficulties, started to heal the wounds of war, promoted the renovation process, and achieved important achievements in the cause of building and developing the province. Together with the Party Committee, government and people in the province, in the past time, generations of war veterans in the province have continued to maintain and promote the good qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, always united, striving to excellently complete assigned tasks; worthy of being the core political force, a reliable support of the Party and government at all levels; a solid bridge in the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Party Committee, government and people; a shining example for the younger generation to learn and follow”, Comrade Le Kim Toan emphasized.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also expressed his hope that, with their capacity, intelligence, experience and creativity, generations of war veterans in Binh Dinh will continue to overcome difficulties, strive to promote propaganda and mobilization work, unite and gather members and people, contributing to creating a combined strength to successfully implement resolutions of party congresses at all levels, contributing to building a prosperous and happy homeland and country.
