At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the tradition and pride in the arduous but extremely glorious historical journey of a century of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism. At the same time, they looked back at the journey of building and maturing of Ha Nam Newspaper. Accordingly, since Ha Nam province was re-established in 1997, Ha Nam Newspaper, along with the development of the homeland, has promptly reflected all aspects of social life, becoming a reliable bridge between the Party Committee, the government and the people.
Ha Nam Newspaper published its first issue on January 1, 1997. Over the past 28 years, it has grown steadily, effectively serving the province's political tasks as well as contributing to the revolutionary journalism achievements of the Party, State and nation. On the first day of the province's re-establishment, the old Ha Nam Newspaper only had 3 cadres and reporters who were mobilized and transferred from the previous Nam Ha Newspaper to take up the task. At that time, reporters had to proactively undertake all stages of production of a newspaper, from collecting data to writing news and articles, taking photos to editing, drawing mockups (layouts), and controlling the pre-printing process before sending them to print. The number of issues issued each week was only 1 issue of 4 pages (size 42 x 58.5cm).
Up to now, Ha Nam Newspaper has published 04 publications including: Ha Nam daily issues from Monday to Friday with 8 pages/issue (size 29.7 x 42cm); Ha Nam weekend, 12 pages (size 29.7 x 42cm); Ha Nam monthly 52 pages (size 22 x 28.5cm). Ha Nam e-newspaper officially operated from January 1, 2017. Since its inception, the database has had nearly 55,829 news and articles, nearly 270 million views, 4,567 comments. Currently, Ha Nam e-newspaper effectively maintains 35 specialized pages and columns, with many innovations, technology applications in presentation, stable interface, fast page loading, contributing to serving the political tasks of the province and meeting the information needs of readers.
Ha Nam Radio and Television Station has been steadily increasing the number of broadcasting hours. Up to now, the TV channel has a broadcasting time of 24 hours/day, broadcast on the digital terrestrial television system, national cable television, Ha Nam cable; broadcast online on MyTV, FPT, Mobil, Viettel, electronic information page and fanpage: daiphatthanhtruyenhinhhanam. The radio channel broadcasts and relays 15 hours/day. With a synchronous equipment system and a system of district and commune-level radio stations, the radio channel has covered the entire province and neighboring provinces. The general electronic information page regularly updates, introduces and promotes the socio-economic development achievements of the province; transmits radio and television programs to serve a large audience and listeners anytime, anywhere. The general electronic information page is carried online on the fanpage, attracting the attention of a large number of cadres, party members and people; Many programs and columns posted on the page received positive comments from the audience, thereby contributing to serving well the political tasks, propaganda, promoting the image, culture, history of the land and people of Ha Nam, connecting with friends in the country, region and the world.
In particular, from April 1, 2025, Ha Nam Newspaper and Ha Nam Radio and Television Station officially merged into Ha Nam Newspaper, becoming a multi-format, multimedia press agency with new tasks and missions. This is an important milestone, opening up a promising path for the future, requiring each cadre, reporter, editor, and technician to continue to strive to innovate and be creative, meeting the requirements of the new situation.
At the meeting, comrade Le Hong Ky, Provincial Party Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Ha Nam Newspaper, Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial Journalists Association expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, agencies, departments, branches, unions, and localities for always paying attention, creating favorable conditions, and accompanying Ha Nam Newspaper. Along with that, he thanked and expressed gratitude to generations of journalists who have always strived to make each page of the newspaper, each PT&TH program today and tomorrow always full of vitality.
The staff, reporters and editors of Ha Nam Newspaper vow to continue to promote the tradition of revolutionary journalism, maintain professional ethics and political courage, constantly innovate and improve the quality of press publications, increasingly better meet the information needs and trust of readers and audiences. Despite the merger of 3 press agencies: Ha Nam - Nam Dinh - Ninh Binh, the people of Ha Nam Newspaper will continue to be the bridge between the Party's will and the people's hearts, a trusted forum for the people, contributing to bringing the new Ninh Binh province firmly on the path of rapid and sustainable development.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in professional activities and association work were honored and received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Ha Nam Journalists Association.
