During the past term, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, especially the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters, the Party Committee, government, people of the city and the business community have made constant efforts, promoted the tradition of solidarity, high political determination, resolutely led, directed, and organized many flexible solutions, achieving many important and comprehensive achievements in all fields.

17/18 targets were achieved and exceeded compared to the resolution. Many important targets were achieved and exceeded, such as: Average economic growth rate in 5 years reached 11.45%; economic development in a sustainable direction; economic structure continued to shift in the right direction; total social investment capital in 5 years reached 39,676 billion VND, an average increase of 19.54%/year; budget revenue in the area in 5 years was estimated at 3,396 billion VND; land use rights auction was promoted, total revenue in 5 years reached over 1,285 billion VND, becoming an important resource for investment in building urban infrastructure of the city.
In particular, in 2024, Dong Ha City will be recognized as a type II urban area. Culture and society have many positive changes; the qualityof education has been gradually improved, the poverty rate has decreased to 1.34%. Social security and people's health care have received attention. National defense - security and social order and safety are maintained.
There have been many innovations in the work of building the Party and the political system. The organization of the political system has been streamlined, efficient, effective and effective. The staff and civil servants have been gradually standardized to meet the requirements of the tasks. Attention has been paid to the work of inspection, supervision and party discipline. The government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have operated effectively.
Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang highly appreciated the efforts of the Dong Ha City Party Executive Committee during the past term.
To effectively implement the 2-level local government apparatus, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested that the 2 new wards after the merger need to have high determination, effectively implement political and ideological work; focus on thoroughly disseminating and widely propagating the policy of arranging and streamlining the apparatus organization, creating unity in awareness and action of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in implementing the arrangement of administrative units. At the same time, focus on preparing tasks for the new ward party congress.
On this occasion, Dong Ha City Party Committee introduced the book “History of Dong Ha City Party Committee in the period of 2015 – 2025”. This is a milestone summarizing 10 years of the Party Committee’s activities in an important development period.
