The Provincial Association of Elderly People outlines its tasks for the last six months of the year.

On the afternoon of June 20th, the Provincial Association of Elderly People (NCT) held a conference to review its work during the first six months of the year and to plan tasks for the remaining six months. Attending the conference were: Mr. Tran Xuan Duong, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phan Van Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Elderly People; leaders of the NCT associations in districts, cities, and towns; and chairmen and vice-chairmen of the NCT associations in communes, wards, and townships throughout the province.

In the first six months of the year, the Elderly Associations at all levels in the province actively participated in the patriotic emulation movement "Elderly, Shining Examples" and "Studying and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh" through practical actions, contributing ideas and efforts to the implementation of socio -economic development tasks. The Association summarized the patriotic emulation movement "Elderly - Shining Examples" for the period 2021-2025; summarized the Project to replicate the model of Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs for the period up to 2025. They organized birthday celebrations for nearly 22,250 elderly people and distributed gifts with a total cost of over 10.6 billion VND during the Lunar New Year of 2025; coordinated eye health check-ups and consultations, and provided free medicine for the elderly; visited and presented gifts to 100% of elderly people in difficult circumstances and lonely elderly households without support, with a total amount of nearly 2.5 billion VND. To continue building on the achievements of the first six months of the year, they requested that all levels of the Association of the Elderly in the province continue to strengthen the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations to cadres and members.
