Urgently change "new clothes" for Ngo Quyen street, Ha Tinh city

(Baohatinh.vn) - The expansion and renovation of Ngo Quyen Street contributes to creating development momentum for Tran Phu Ward after the arrangement in particular and Ha Tinh City in general.

In order to gradually improve the traffic system and technical infrastructure serving people's lives, enhance drainage capacity and urban beautification, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh City has implemented a project to expand, upgrade and beautify Ngo Quyen Street (from National Highway 1A to Quang Trung Street).

The project has a total length of over 2.7km, starting at the intersection of Tran Phu Street and ending at Quang Trung Street, with a total investment of 140 billion VND.

To ensure traffic flow and create urban landscape, in addition to the old road surface, the project also widens the road surface on both sides.

The roadbed width after being widened is 39m, of which the road surface width is 30m.

The entire road surface will be renewed with asphalt concrete. The green tree system on both sides of the old road will be moved to the outer edge of the roadbed. At the same time, the construction unit will add and utilize the shade trees in the median strip to create a landscape for the road.

When completed, the project will create a spacious route with green and beautiful landscapes like Ham Nghi and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh streets.

The project also has synchronous investment in drainage, with large-sized sewers arranged along both sides of the road, ensuring drainage capacity during the rainy season, contributing to reducing the risk of flooding in the city center.

The project is expected to be completed and put into use in 2025.

In addition to upgrading and renovating infrastructure to serve people's travel needs, the project also plays an important role in creating development momentum for the new Tran Phu ward in particular (including the following units: Thach Trung, Thach Ha, Dong Mon, Ho Do) after the reorganization and Ha Tinh city in general.
