Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of May 16, 2025 |
According to experts, coffee prices continue to be under pressure from speculators to take profits after a series of hot increases in early May 2025. In addition, technical factors and favorable weather information in Brazil have reduced concerns about a shortage of Robusta supply, contributing to the price decline.
The continued decline has left the coffee market facing many fluctuations. Major roasters are still cautiously observing the situation, while Vietnamese farmers and businesses are under great pressure as domestic prices fall to the lowest level in more than a week.
However, the Vietnamese coffee industry still faces great opportunities. With the initiative of businesses, market expansion policies and product quality improvement strategies, the industry's total export turnover is expected to reach 7 billion USD in 2025. Not only is this an impressive figure, it is also a testament to the strong potential of an agricultural industry if it knows how to seize opportunities, comprehensively reform and meet the increasingly strict demands of global consumers.
Coffee remains a commodity with stable demand thanks to the diversity of products and price segments, helping to maintain high prices even during volatile market periods. The market expects that if the US completely exempts tariffs, coffee prices can continue to increase without affecting consumption demand…
According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee exports in March reached about 13 million bags (60 kg/bag), a slight increase of 0.6% compared to the same period last year. This is the second consecutive month of growth, after three consecutive months of decline.
However, in the first 6 months of the 2024–2025 crop year (from October 2024 to March 2025), global coffee exports still decreased by 1.9% over the same period, reaching only 67.9 million bags.
