Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, August 25, 2025 in the Central Highlands region remained unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 123,500 - 124,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 124,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Similarly, coffee prices in Dak Lak province are at 124,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged from yesterday and were traded at VND123,800/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged from yesterday at VND123,500/kg.

Domestic coffee prices increased sharply by 5.5 to 5.7% over the previous week, while world coffee prices increased by 13 to 14%. This is also the highest price recorded in the past 3 months. Specifically, in Dak Nong and Lam Dong, coffee prices increased the most by 6,700 VND/kg. In Gia Lai, coffee prices increased by 6,600 VND/kg. In Dak Lak, coffee prices closed the week up 6,500 VND/kg over the previous week.
The reason why domestic coffee prices have increased more slowly than international coffee prices is believed to be due to the slowdown in export purchasing activities. Many businesses have completed old contracts but have not signed new ones. Buyers continue to wait for prices to stabilize before deciding to import more, causing purchasing power in the domestic market to not explode.
Coffee prices in Vietnam are expected to continue to rise slightly this week due to a shortage of coffee beans. At the same time, prolonged heavy rains in Indonesia are likely to affect the development of coffee cherries, causing traders to worry about the impact on global supplies.
In the international market, Robusta and Arabica coffee prices are still increasing well, creating more momentum for futures contracts and providing opportunities for Vietnam to expand its export market share. In the short term, if the USD continues to weaken, coffee prices are likely to remain high or continue to increase.
World coffee prices today
On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery closed last week at $4,758/ton, up 13.3% ($557/ton) from a week ago and a three-month high. The November 2025 futures contract rose 14.3% ($583/ton) to $4,650/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery increased by 13.8% (47.3 US cents/pound) compared to the previous week, to 390.65 US cents/pound, a 3.5-month high. The contract for December 2025 delivery increased by 13.2% (44.1 US cents/pound), reaching 378.3 US cents/pound.
World coffee prices have increased much faster and stronger in recent days than domestic prices, narrowing the gap between the two markets significantly. While last week, domestic coffee prices were 13,000 VND/kg higher than the international floor price, now the difference is only about 1,500 VND/kg.
Within a month, Robusta coffee prices increased by 43%, while Arabica increased by 31%. This increase shows a strong recovery trend in the global coffee market. This development has made many businesses and investors pay more attention to changes in supply and demand and the impact of weather in key growing regions.
Brazil remains the focus of global coffee markets. Harvest has ended there and weather forecasts point to warmer temperatures over the next two weeks. The market is closely watching longer-term weather forecasts, especially the outlook for the spring-summer monsoon, which is expected to begin in the final quarter of the year, as this is crucial for the flowering of the 2026 crop.
Coffee markets will see some changes today due to the UK Summer Bank Holiday. The London Robusta exchange will be closed, while the New York exchange will operate as normal. This may impact liquidity and price volatility in the short term.
