Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of May 29, 2025 |
According to experts, domestic coffee prices continue to fall, under pressure from abundant supply and the downward trend of Robusta on the international market. Although Arabica has increased slightly, the overall recovery signal is still unclear.
Therefore, growers should closely monitor price movements to choose the right time to sell, while also paying attention to transportation costs when fuel prices have not cooled down. In the short term, coffee prices may continue to be under pressure if global supply does not change dramatically.
According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, coffee exports from Vietnam are also facing difficulties due to many factors. Ports in Northern Europe are congested due to labor shortages and waterway traffic is facing difficulties due to low water levels, affecting shipping activities. At the same time, shipping costs have also increased sharply recently because China has boosted exports after the US postponed imposing a 145% tariff, making it more difficult to book shipping vessels.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese coffee prices are losing their competitiveness. Currently, other countries are offering prices about 200-250 USD/ton lower than Vietnamese coffee. This makes Vietnamese coffee difficult to sell in the international market. Mr. Binh said that the high prices in recent times are partly due to speculation, and in fact, the amount of inventory in intermediaries is still quite large.
